This pendant lamp is reminescent of the Viscontea lamp, designed by Castiglioni Brothers in the early 1960s and produced by Flos. This chandelier, from the same era, however has a smaller size and slightly different proportions. It’s difficult to say whether it’s a prototype or a copy. It remains in pretty good overall condition: the yellowing of the cocoon is normal, consistent with the age of the lamp. However, some defects are visible: the internal metal structure is quite rusty and this oxidation is also visible outside the cocoon at some points. The electric cable is quite short but can be replaced with a longer one.
